My thinking explores classroom design, crossing disciplines and play!
PLAYFUL PEDAGOGY
A common thread in my classes and my own work is play! I’m inspired by the philosophy of play-based early learning educators and by the role of environmental conditions in encouraging play.
The following are presentations from various conferences and invited lectures. I’d be happy to customize any of these talks for your team!

STEAM
I’ve been teaching and making with creative technology for nearly two decades.
Over the years my interests have dipped into science, math, technology, and engineering, but I’ve always approached my understanding of these subjects through art, or, an embodied way of knowing.
Art belongs in STEM, and I have some ideas on how to make that happen at the collegiate level. The following is a collection of highly adjustable lesson plan frameworks to help get your own ideas flowing. Think of them like “no recipe, recipes” but for lesson plans.

Note: my videos are not all captioned, but I am working steadily to change that.
